Pack Meeting Notes for February 24, 2002
This meeting was our annual Blue & Gold Breakfast.
It was held at Sean Patrick's Emerald Isle on Millerport
Highway; it started at noon, and ended at around 2:30 PM.
Here's what happened:
- We started with Den 14
doing the flag ceremony.
- Cubmaster Lanighan read some opening remarks.
- Cubmaster Lanighan, Assistant Cubmaster Thill, Den Leader Townsend,
and Assistant Den Leader Yearke performed the Webelos Crossover
Ceremony, assisted by Scoutmaster Weber and three Scouts from
Boy Scout Troop 457.
- The best centerpiece was judged, with the winners being allowed
to go first to the buffet.
- We said grace.
- We enjoyed a yummy breakfast of pastries, scrambled eggs, pancakes,
hash browns, sausage, ham, and other good things.
- Mrs. Carroll did a bunch of raffles. There were many fine
prizes awarded.
- Mr. Gaughan, the principal of
Maple East,
gave some remarks about the values of Scouting, and of his involvement
with our Pack over the years.
- Cubmaster Lanighan presented gifts to some of the people who
have worked for the Pack over the years, and to those who
organized and ran the Blue & Gold Breakfast.
- Officer Dave Starke of the Town of Amherst Police Canine Unit
gave a presentation with his dogs, Razor and LC.
- Another great Blue & Gold Breakfast then came to an end.
